TEMPE, AZ-(Marketwired - Mar 13, 2015) - American Green, Inc. (OTC PINK: ERBB) announced today that Hempful Farms in Cave Creek, Arizona and Nature’s Kiss in Englewood, Colorado have been certified by the company to go live immediately. Both locations have successfully completed the necessary visual and software updates to make their ZaZZZ age-verifying fulfillment machines fully functional. These locations are now linked to ZaZZZ.com which sets the stage for the eventual launch of American Green’s online shopping and information service for ZaZZZ certified dispensaries. American Green is proud to display the first-ever look at human interface biometric verification that ensures verified user authorization, validating the Company president’s claim that, “If there’s any doubt, no product will come out.”

“It’s been an exciting process with no end in sight for the evolution of Verified Vending™, or ZaZZZ, as it’s known in the cannabis industry. We receive great feedback and new ideas from our ZaZZZ locations and our current and future product partners, which I believe will result in the creation of responsible vending for the 21st Century,” says Stephen Shearin, American Green president. “This day has been a long time coming — the day we get to launch this version of ZaZZZ — it has been a truly amazing time for American Green,” concludes Shearin.

“The goal of Verified Vending technology is to enable the ZaZZZ machine to perform the most accurate user identification possible — even surpassing the existing customer qualification process currently performed by humans,” says Kent Steiner, American Green’s VP of Software Integration.

In other news, American Green is at the CannaGrow Expo in Denver, CO at the Denver Expo and Event Center today and tomorrow. A ZaZZZ machine will be there for interested parties to examine and interact with.

I have a hard time believing that a sufficient number of people would actually use a marijuana vending machine inside of a marijuana dispensary. It’d be like walking into a chocolate factory and heading straight to a vending machine to buy an old candy bar. If laws were ever relaxed and marijuana vending machines were allowed at large events, then I could see the concept offering a practical solution; however, I’m pretty sure the laws have these machines relegated to the inside of dispensaries, where they seem more like a novelty than a solution.

Pipeline, fair assessment, but a dispensary with high foot traffic could benefit from a vending machine so customers in a rush could head straight to the vending machine instead of waiting on a budtender. However, as a consumer, I would want to make sure that the vending machine’s product was just as fresh as the product sold over the counter. The actual ZaZZZ machines are climate-controlled, but dispensary management would have to keep up with rotating the inventory.

I’ll have to see some operational evidence to believe it’s solving an actual problem. ERBB has been hanging out in the 00 zone for almost a month … I’m guessing shareholders would also like to see some operational evidence.
